Single reivew Child - Emilia Quinn

Emilia Quinn is one of the best vocal talents in the UK with an always unpredictable motion for releasing music which makes every sing release super exciting no secret that I am a huge fan and have a lot of time for her!

last week she was playing vaguely south of the uk in the last week and i visited both shows Chelmsford and Cambridge leading on to where I first heard the track in question just before the Cambridge show kicked off this track landed in my inbox my first thought was I won't listen now hoping she might play and then get that great experience of listening to it live first and the recording after not knowing it was piano lead track and what happens after the first break in Cambridge the piano gets set up and Child was played just outstanding I know Emilia can play the piano but this is the first time I have ever seen her on it!

Now to the actual track but first id like to mention her brilliant team w21records / Zimagined for sending over the track with lots of time before the release

Child kicking in with the just piano lead and Emilia's vocal with subtle bit of back ground white noise so the vocal not completely bare adding some more raw feel to the track in my eyes a few rounds of the piano chords and some heart felt lyrics its like a letter to her self from years ago but now with dramatic pauses in-between chord progressions and the added bit of bass backing building up to band entrance with some exceptional band backing fully matching tempo and feel of this track there's some sweeping sliding pedal steel running though out this part combined with selective guitar plucking some trade mark runs from Emilia “ its all right “giving all the feels “ id rase them up never let them down “ the whole band are in full swing and there ‘s raw tone and emotion right there leading off into and outstanding bit of harmonie backing added along with some blues guitar playing for bit breakdown section vocal and riffs playing at alternative parts in pops the snare for an added layer on the track building it up even further a perfectly time crash “rase them up “ and that’s exactly whats happing in the track Emilia outstanding emotional lyrics shining out along with some perfection building harmonies giving the whole yet more outstanding emotion she going full on with the runs giving her full emotion at this moment leading up so some extended runs with a mighty run leading a full on blues electric section building and building before back into a short section just her bare vocals and high hat leading to fade away

as you might have clocked slightly by the title is about raising her child and what she would say to it and more!
