SINGLE REIVEW River - EMILIA QUINN
Emilia Quinn is set to release the live take master pice River blues and americana based spine tingling track
River kicking in with an all mighty vocal moment showcasing her range and the power boy where in for a treat "Bring me to the river" first moments in and i am instantly thinking the would be perfect for sync deal of some sort I could quite easily see the this major film / tv show after the just under a minit of outstanding vocal delivery.
Its straight in with sweet backing and chanting of the all mighty hum hum backed by a little electric and shaker and percussion every phrase in this section the end elongated with vocal run brining out her full range leading in the second section more added band backing harmonies moments like "Cry My Sweet Heart Out" there is lyric to end this section "I cant control "but the rage of vocals on its just outstanding more band harmonies leading in to just the backing of the band another short vocal run and where into what Im calling one of Emilia signature moments in her tracks delay and slide into full on band backing but non instruments overpowering each other and perfectly completing Emilia vocals to let them blend perfectly together.
The energy in this track at this moment in time just outstanding the track is in full flow "Not what you've been told" and she comes back again with another perfection run, leading to a short electric solo run before it is back in with the band and Emilia’s vocals but with an added layer of the vocal harmonies from them "Build me a kingdom" when you think the energy can’t get any higher its turned up another notch but that's another trade mark of Emilia’s music "So I can live forever inside my soul" more of those outstanding runs lead in to the longer breakdown section where the electric solo works to perfection breaking the track up then leading back into an other short band and vocal harmony section with of course another perfectly "Control " vocal run to end with crashes but his back in for one more vocal run to end from Emilia "My Soul"
River is yet another outstanding track from Emilia; it's has got everything you would expect and love from one of her tracks. Signature moments is the way it is structured and layered; there is so much going on in the background, including all the little sounds coming in and out, similar to what she did in "Ready to Right Now off her second EP Fire Cracker "even more impressive that is in a live take! Other stand-out parts are the clever use of reverb and delay to build the track up and down.

Talking about vocal runs in this track or Emilia, in general, is entirely different from most artists, who elongate the last word in the phrase. She has this outstanding ability complete vocal runs that are up and down in one section but are not just the last word, but a whole phrase, and then the next vocal run is the straight elongation of the last part not a lot of artists can pull this off. Lyrically it is outstanding; she got excellent skill in writing lyrics that you can instantly remember upon the first listen. It will undoubtedly be another incredible year for Emilia, kicking off with a headline show in Manchester; who knows what's coming next?
Every release is exciting and unpredictable; as said in my last review, id love LP, what she should do with it, and the story she could create!!!
